3 Low Prep March Activities for Kindergarten and First Grade Students
Are you looking to keep your kids entertained and engaged before Spring Break? Here are some fun, EASY and low prep ideas to keep your kindergarten students engaged:
- March Directed Drawings: You can add these to your reading center, writing center or even do one whole group as a Fun Friday activity. My favorite part of these directed drawings is that there are SO many differentiated options. Kindergarten or first grade students can focus on just drawing a picture, draw and write a sentence, draw and write a sentence with a word bank or reference the strips at a writing center!
2. Lucky Charms Craft: This is the perfect low prep craft to do with your Kindergarten or First Grade students ANNND you can incorporate writing! You will have your students think of things they are lucky or "thankful" for and write them on the cereal pieces. Then they will cut and glue the cereal pieces to the bowl. It comes with a no prep bulletin board for an instant cute, Spring bulletin board!
3. Clover Tear Art: I LOVE tear art because it is SO good for working on fine motor skills and all you have to do is print the seasonal template and throw some paper down. Plus it takes kids forever to complete this activity 🤪 There are so many differentiated options for students to write about their project once it is completed. PS I have a HUGE monthly tear art bundle with over 80 seasonal images to continue working on fine motor skills ALLLL year long! Use as morning work, early finisher or a whole group activity!
