3 Low Prep Turkey Activities to do with your Kindergarteners
If you are anything like me you love to do seasonal activities but also love when they are low prep. Here are three fun turkey activities you can do in your kindergarten classroom this November:
When I mean low prep, this is the easiest one by far! This is actually a take home project (or you can do it in your classroom).
Here’s whatcha do: Read the book Turkey in Trouble and then tell your students they need to create their OWN turkey disguise. I have a parent letter and turkey template for you to send home. Pro Tip: print the turkey on cardstock so it holds up better. Have your students bring it back and display as a November bulletin board. You can even vote to see what turkey your class thinks has the best disguise!
This is a fun craft that works on fine motor AND writing! Have your students cut out their turkey and then on each feather they will write what they are thankful for! Such a fun and academic craft to do in November :)
I LOVE tear arts. One, they are so easy. Literally all you do is print the differentiated option you want and throw some paper on everyone’s desk. Did you know tearing paper is one of the best fine motor activities? It actually can be pretty tricky for kindergarteners that haven’t strengthened their little muscles in their hand yet!
